The Second Year: Trimm Travels Turns Two!

Two years.

Trimm Travels is two years old today.

I feel like it was just yesterday that I was writing about my blog turning one. But it was, in fact, a whole year ago. And, that year flew by. Or I flew by it one. It’s quite possibly the latter.

It was yet another wild year, but a great year. Notice I didn’t say a perfect year. I never want to paint the picture that this blog, this business or my life doesn’t have ups AND downs. Because I assure you, it has both just as everyone’s does.

However, I have zero complaints. I get to travel. Travel is something I thoroughly love and I thoroughly enjoy sharing my adventures with all of you. I’m thankful and humbled that anyone at all reads my blog let alone the thousands of you who read it every month.

Blogging is an ever-changing profession and I’m still in this crazy process called learning. I can honestly say that two years in, I truly enjoy every aspect of the craziness. Not only do I get to create travel content for you, the reader, but I learn something new every day. Surprisingly, that something new usually isn’t about blogging. A lot of times that new information is about myself!

Thank You

That is precious information for which I’m truly grateful. It’s information I wouldn’t have otherwise known had it not been for YOU reading this blog, YOU commenting on a post, or YOU emailing a question. Thank you for the compliments and encouragement. Each one is appreciated more than you will ever know. 🙏🏼

To my family and friends: You have supported me since the beginning even though it means I don’t always get to spend a lot of time with you. That support is priceless. I realize not everyone has this kind of support and I understand how lucky I truly am. Thank you and I love you! ❤️

Before I get into what all Trimm Travels has been up to in the last year, I am excited to share that as of July 31, 2018, I received a nomination for the Sunshine Blogger Award.🌞 The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to “those who are creative, positive and inspiring while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.” It is a huge honor because it’s given to bloggers by other bloggers and it doesn’t get much better than being recognized by your colleagues! That post with all the details is coming soon.

  1. Happy Bloggiversery. They grow up so fast. Little buggers just turned one and now they are crawling all over the place. You should take this as a compliment but I thought you would have visited way more than 11 countries by now. You seem so well traveled by the way you write. I have been digging you Morroco content. Jenn is at 10 and I am at 20 so we are all in about the same ball park. There are certain tours and routes that really get the country count up.

You should go to Florida 😉 I know some fun things to do there;)

    1. Hey Ed! Thank you!! They do grow up fast for sure. I definitely take that as a compliment because I’m not all that sure about my writing a lot of the time! Actually, those stats were just for what all happened in my second year. I went to 11 countries that year. In total, I’ve been to 32 countries with #33 coming in December. I agree that there are certain tours and routes that get the country count up. I did one of those in 2017 which is where 7 of those countries (in one trip) came from! Thanks for reading and yes, I should get to Florida soon! 🙂
