As you may already know, I got the awesome opportunity to travel to Geneva, Switzerland this summer. It is a beautiful city full of amazing things to do! I posted about my favorite things to do in Geneva and if you missed them, you can catch up on Part 1 and Part 2! Not only is there so much to do in Geneva, but the city offers an array of fabulous restaurants with yummy food and the hotel I stayed in? Heavenly!! No other way to describe it! I can’t wait to share where to eat and stay in Geneva!Let’s start with the fabulous hotel!!
Le Richemond Hotel
The Le Richemond Hotel is a 5-star property in Geneva. It is absolutely gorgeous to say the least and there is no need or want that goes unmet! Their service, amenities and beautiful views of the Lake Geneva and the Alps are just unparalleled! Le Richemond first opened its doors in 1875 and has since welcomed such esteemed guests as Charlie Chaplin, Louis Armstrong, Sophia Loren and Rita Hayworth! It is centrally convenient to so much including the train station, the Jet d’Eau, and shopping!
The very spacious lobby of the hotel!
Our suite was simply gorgeous with its striking colors and dark wood contrasts. I instantly fell in love!
We even had a walk-in closet!!
The all-white marble bathroom boasted 2 shower heads and a deep soaker tub complete with a TV!
A definite highlight was our balcony. We had breakfast in our room one morning and it was the perfect setting!
The beds are extremely, luxuriously comfortable!!
They even left us goodies! I LOVED the Swiss Army Knife with my name on it!!! There was also a separate knife assembly kit to put one together when I got home!
We even had dinner one night at the hotel restaurant Le Jardin and the food was both beautiful and delicious! Just look at that candy apple! This might have been the prettiest, most elegant dessert I’ve ever seen! Believe me, it tasted just as wonderful as it looks!
I’m just getting started with the yummy food we had in Geneva! Definitely, check these places out if you travel to Geneva!
Cottage Cafe
Cottage Cafe is located right across the street from the Le Richemond. It has an interesting history. They originally used the cafe as temporary housing from 1876-1879 for the workers charged with the task of building the Brunswick Monument. It went on to be used by the gardener tending to the park and later on was turned into a cafe. It was renovated by the city of Geneva following a period of abandonment between 2006 and 2008 and then refurbished and redecorated by Nicole Boder. It’s a quaint little spot to have lunch and you feel tucked away from the bustling city of Geneva!
Amanda and I shared the veggie lasagna along with the quinoa salad with fruit. They were both excellent!
Brasserie de Halles de L’île
We had dinner here on our first night in Geneva. This is a fabulous happy hour place! A lot of the locals come here after work for a drink and to enjoy the atmosphere. It has a great courtyard area where you can be outside enjoying the fresh air, but you are completely tucked away from all the city hustle and bustle! Once you are done melting away the stress from the day, you can then enjoy a yummy dinner! I highly recommend the Risotto! Another bonus is that the Brasserie de Halles de L’île sits right on the Rhône River!
Wolfisberg
During our exploration of the Carouge area of Geneva, we took a mid-morning break for delicious treats at Wolfisberg. This is a quaint bakery with a LOT of personality and is oh-so-cute! Wolfisberg is a family owned and run business and has been since it opened its doors in 1961! All of their desserts looked yummy!
However, it was the strawberry desserts that got our attention!
And they did NOT disappoint! This strawberry pie was unbelievable!!
Café de Peney
Later on that day for lunch, we went to Café de Peney. It is located a little outside of Geneva in the countryside. It is a beautiful place with a cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff!
The food was incredible! We enjoyed fish, chicken and house made desserts!
Edelweiss
A perfect place for dinner to complete your day, Edelweiss is a local hotspot. Definitely make reservations in advance as it fills up quickly! You can find the restaurant inside the Hôtel Edelweiss and it provides a unique Swiss experience including fondue and yodeling performers!
The atmosphere was very warm and inviting!
Having an authentic fondue experience was really cool! The food was fabulous!
We thoroughly enjoyed our mid-dinner entertainment by a member of our group!
As you can see, we enjoyed some seriously good food in Geneva! Then, at the end of every day, we enjoyed a fabulous place to stay with fantastic breakfasts!

I highly recommend Le Richemond and these amazing restaurants! Definitely put them on your bucket list now!
Geneva, Switzerland is a city with so much to offer and will truly leave you with lasting memories!
‘Til next time…
