I am really loving Santorini! By now you probably know I got to spend an incredible week here last fall and it truly was one of those dream destinations! Because of this, I had to share just a little more of this fabulous island! This is Scenic Santorini!Where To Stay
Andronis Luxury Suites
We stayed two incredible nights at the Andronis Luxury Suites. There was really no end to the beauty and amenities of this hotel! And convenience? Check. It’s a great central location!
Rooms
Our suite was stunning! I have never stayed in anything else remotely like it and I was obsessed!
Look at this bathroom! It’s modeled after a cave and they nailed the design. It’s highly unique and it might be my most favorite bathroom EVER! I was just in love with the creativity, the feel, and the fact I have never seen this anywhere else!
Balcony
From our balcony, how about this view to the left…
and this is the view to the right…and the view from our private jacuzzi!
Completely private, it was quiet and so easy to relax with this view! Mesmerizing is the word I’m looking for I think? 😉
Breakfast
Every morning, breakfast was served on our amazing balcony. It totally reminded me of a set-up out of a magazine. The food was heavenly and the juices were freshly squeezed! I definitely looked forward to breakfast!
Pool
Now, you have to know that with suites and balconies this incredible, the pool wouldn’t be any different, right? It completely held its own with the same beautiful views and a fantastic pool bar!
Restaurant
Perhaps the icing on the cake or that hidden gem is their restaurant! This is where you want to go for that special dinner with that special someone. Look at those purple chairs fit for a king and queen! And can you imagine the views you will have?? This would be perfect for the ultimate celebration!
Speaking of ultimate celebrations, this is the perfect Santorini honeymoon guide if you are looking for a dream destination!
Day Trip
Fira, Santorini
Take an easy day trip from Oia to Fira. It’s very simple and the buses picked us up right by our hotel.
It has its own gorgeous coastline…
and I’m not sure about you, but I could stare at this for forever!
We enjoyed the day walking around Fira finding cool things such as these bells…
and these doors! I couldn’t get enough of the color, charm and personality!
We stopped at Lucky’s Souvlakis for lunch. The pork souvlaki with lettuce, tomatoes, fries, and yogurt sauce was exceptional! I had never had fries in mine before and I loved it. Also, if you are like me and not a fan of cucumbers, you can get the yogurt sauce without it. I was quite thankful. 😉
I inadvertently started collecting sandals from different countries I visit (I may or may not have a shoe addiction). It all started with a pair that I got in Spain several years ago. Then, two years ago, I had a pair of authentic, Italian leather sandals custom-made in Rome. Because when in Rome… 🙂 So, it only made sense to me to have a pair of Greek sandals right?? I fell in love with this particular pair and I got lucky because they only had a few pairs left and one was in my size!
If shoes aren’t your thing check out these other ideas for what to buy in Greece.
As you can see, I totally enjoyed my day in Fira!
Steps, Staircases, and Stills of Santorini
Steps and Staircases
Santorini is the land of a million steps and staircases. They are everywhere you turn and it seems as though every single one leads you to paradise!
Stills
This is what the shores of Santorini look like!!
One of the things I’ve always wanted to see is the iconic blue domes in Santorini. I was so excited to see them! Those postcard shots you always see? They are absolutely attainable!
There were endless things to see that were all very unique to Santorini.
I absolutely love all these different colors! Once again, the staircase is leading somewhere exciting…
I enjoyed and highly recommend exploring all the different winding pathways there are in Oia. We were always rewarded with unique finds and the prettiest of places!
Don’t forget to see Santorini at twilight!
Sums up my feelings for Santorini!
Thank you to Amanda for the above photo.
Easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, I truly enjoyed a very relaxing week in Santorini. There is a reason it comes highly recommended as a honeymoon location or a great getaway for a relaxing girls’ trip! Or here is an itinerary to see it in one day!
Have you ever been? What was your favorite thing about Santorini?
‘Til next time…
