Lucerne was our first destination when we arrived in Switzerland. I can’t even begin to tell you how gorgeous it is. Along with the beautiful scenery, we stayed in the most amazing hotel! Here is the best place to stay in Lucerne!
The Palace Luzern is a five-star hotel located on one end of the promenade as well as on Lake Lucerne. It has gorgeous views of not only the lake, but the mountains too! It’s also in walking distance from the train station and has superb service!
The lobby is really cute, don’t you think?
Each way I looked there were gorgeous hallways…
And then there was the grand staircase!
The lobby extended into the Palace Bar and Living Room which boasted a grand piano and a beautiful chandelier
Then there was the Lakeside Terrace where you could grab a bite to eat or just take in the amazing views of Lake Lucerne!
Yet another option was the beautiful restaurant Marlin
If these were the views in the common areas, we couldn’t wait to see our room!
We were definitely NOT disappointed! We walked into a very spacious, open room
that included a sitting area, a desk and more than adequate storage and closet space
The beds were luxuriously comfortable!
Turn down service complete with treats on the pillow is always a plus!
Then I saw the bathroom…
It was ginormous and in addition to the double vanities and a private toilet room, it included a separate rain shower…
and soaker tub complete with high-end bath essentials. All bases covered!
I couldn’t get over the views of Lake Lucerne and Mount Pilatus from our balcony!
The view from our balcony at night was also gorgeous with all the colors reflecting off the water!
We had a fabulous breakfast every morning
There was even a real honeycomb and the honey was amazing!
Even the rooftop terrace was so cute and inviting
and boasted spectacular views!
Can’t leave out the Spa, right?? 😉
The hallway set a very tranquil, serene tone
Wait for your treatment in this very cozy room
with extremely comfortable chairs
Take advantage of an assortment of snacks and teas
Have a massage with views of the lake
Or turn it into a private spa experience if you are with that special someone
And even experience something I have never seen before…a giant singing bowl!
Made of bronze, it weighs 1.2 tons and sends gentle vibrations through your body as you lay in the hammock!
As you can see, there are countless reasons to choose the Palace Luzern. If you just need one more reason or you are looking for that “cherry on top” then let me add that their staff is extremely friendly and you will want for nothing! You will be thankful to have made the Palace Luzern your home while in Lucerne, Switzerland!
Until next time…
