As of today, fall is upon us! Has this incoming season already become busy for anyone else? Fall is full for me as well as for Trimm Travels! Because of this, comfort is key! I love finding outfits that are comfortable for anytime, but especially these busy seasons! There is so much happening now from football games to weddings and fall festivals. Let’s face it, Halloween will practically be here tomorrow! So, the more comfortable and festive an outfit is, the better! Now, it’s all about festive fall favorites, right? Not too long ago, I discovered this spaghetti strap jumpsuit and decided I had to have it! Jumpsuits have only recently become an option for me since losing a significant amount of weight. If you missed that story, read it here!
This time of year, when I think of key fashion pieces, versatile and transitional come to mind. In addition to comfort, these are very important for the fall season!
Usually, when I think of spaghetti straps, I automatically think only of summer. But, if you live somewhere warm like I do (where it’s still 89 degrees during the day, ugh!!), then this will still work well for you. However, if you live somewhere cooler or want to take it into later fall, throw on a cardigan and it transitions well!
This jumpsuit is luxuriously comfortable (pajamas anyone?) and can be worn to anything from lunch out with the girls to a wedding or even the formal night on that cruise you might have coming up! In the above photo, that is exactly where I’m wearing mine. It was the second formal night on a Baltic Sea cruise I took last month!
I paired this black jumpsuit with my favorite black, strappy heels. These were a birthday gift from a few years back that definitely indulged my inner shoe addict! Accessories include a long, prism necklace, my shorter monogram necklace, my silver hoop earrings, a dainty cross bracelet, and my cocktail ring. I favored a more monochromatic scheme here, but you could totally add a pop of color with your jewelry or even your shoes for a fun look!
I again chose the OPI nail color, Sailing and Nail-ing from the Summer 2016 Retro Collection. I was on a cruise after all! I even had little black anchors on my accent nails! 😉 I love light blues during the warmer months when I have more of a tan! However, for fall, another great color to pair with this is OPI Aurora Berry-alis from the Fall/Winter 2017 Iceland Collection. It’s a gorgeous, darker shade of pink that’s great for this time of year!
Granted, black doesn’t change much from indoors to outdoors, but here is the outfit in the sun so you can get a good idea of how it looks in all lighting!
I got the jumpsuit online at the Blue Chic Boutique and as of today, they still have it in black (in 2 different styles) and other colors! The black strappy, heeled sandals are classic Jimmy Choos (style name “Ivette”). Both the cocktail ring and the earrings are from Stella & Dot and the prism necklace is a Lucy’s Inspired from Oh My Sole here in Birmingham (they ship to the continental US)! The nail colors OPI Sailing and Nail-ing and OPI Aurora Berry-alis as well as a similar style of my monogram necklace and my cross bracelet can all be found on Amazon!
As we say here in the South, Happy Fall Y’all! Hope your fall is getting off to a great start!
‘Til next time…
