Fashion Friday: Fall Favorites
October is probably my second favorite month after December! I love everything about October from football to the changing colors of the leaves! However, fall can be a tricky time of year as far as trying to dress for the time of year AND the weather. Here in the deep South, it’s still quite warm so there isn’t much guesswork…for now anyway! Even so, I am still ready to put away summer clothes and start dressing for fall…but without the part where you burn completely up because it’s still so stifling hot outside!!
This outfit does exactly that! This is a 3/4 sleeved, very lightweight swing dress that has an on-trend pattern in awesome fall colors! The sleeves easily push up for more of a short to half-sleeve look and it is so lightweight that it could easily be a summer dress! Not to mention that it also has the non-clingy fabric too that makes it so comfortable!!
I accessorized this dress in two different ways. In this photo, I paired it my favorite way: with gray fringe booties. I also threw on my trusty Stella & Dot silver hoop earrings and cocktail ring. I opted not to throw on a necklace because the pattern in the dress is already busy and colorful, but you could throw on a neutral, plain necklace if you wanted.
Nail color I chose for this is OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! from their Germany Collection. This is a great darker gray with a green undertone. I love how it blends with the gray booties, but also pulls out the grays and greens in the dress while also blending with the blues! Total score all the way around!
This is the second look I went with. I paired the dress this time with taupe fringe, open-toe wedges. I like how the taupe shoes bring out the taupe in the dress. I kept my same Stella & Dot earrings, cocktail ring and once again, opted for no necklace.
Nail color that would go well with this option is OPI Squeaker of the House. It’s a new color out of their latest Washington DC Fall 2016 Collection. I’m actually wearing it now, but I didn’t have it at the time of the photo unfortunately. It’s a great neutral that is a milk chocolate color, but can also look taupe with some gray undertones!
These give you options depending on your mood and most importantly your weather! This dress is so easy to wear and can be worn comfortably all day! A fall win for sure!
These photos show how different this dress looks in different lighting. I promise it is the same dress even though it was photographed indoors/outdoors as well as in and out of mirrors!
I got the dress from the Mint Julep Boutique. They don’t have a storefront, but you can order from their website and they ship domestically! The shoes are Sbicca and are from Oh My Sole in Birmingham, Alabama. They do have a storefront, but you can also order from their Facebook page here and they ship domestically to the continental US. The earrings and ring are from Stella & Dot.
I have lots of new looks coming soon so be sure to check them out…
